A multiple award-winning activist, Low Ngai Yuen has been working alongside entrepreneurs ecosystem builders from around the world to intensify support be it in the form of updating policies and regulations as well as to drive better access to market and growth of new technology. Yuen found her calling in directing and producing; and soon, storytelling on any format becomes her fixation. From 1999 to 2008 she has created, written, produced and directed numerous highly rated TV programmes in Malaysia and the regional countries. To date, she is heavily involved in community building for social purpose organisations. She is the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of Global Entrepreneurship Movement Association that runs the community outreach digital radio for entrepreneurs, eFM and the online magazines that is the resource for all things entrepreneurship, eMag. In addition to Persatuan Kakiseni and WOMENgirls, Yuen also sits as an independent director contributing to GDEX Berhad’s BOD as well as to the Consultative Board of Malaysia Productivity Council for Productivity Blueprint and the ICT Nexus.
Jeany Amir
Known professionally as Jeany Amir, Aziny Amir Hamzah is a commercial film director and filmmaker at Toaster Films. An established filmmaker since 2010, Jeany has directed and produced numerous passion projects including commercials, awards, short films and music videos. She has had 5 years of working experience as a producer in the print commercial advertising industry and is the youngest grant recipient from the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Coming back to Malaysia from New York Film Acdmrmy (NYFA), she collaborated with well-established commercial directors before fully joining Toaster Films. Since then, she has worked with brands including Maxis, Hotlink, Digi, Samsung and the umbrella brands managed under the Leo Burnett advertising agency umbrella group. Her first feature film directorial debut entitled ‘Bu, Kasih Suci”, received numerous press media coverage besides being the first female Malaysian director entrusted to direct the first Malay feature film under MM2 Entertainment. She now balances her work between Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur.
Syed Azmi Alhabshi
Syed Azmi Alhabshi wanting to be known as an NGI Non-Government Individual, a movement to promote kindness and change on a personal capacity within the community. He is a pharmacist by training and has a passion for topics such as children, older persons, deaf and blind, poverty, education, and marginalized community. His advocacy work is publicly viewed by his Facebook Syed Azmi. He is currently the Chairman for Pelindung Kanak-Kanak Wilayah Persekutuan, Board of Trustees of Yayasan Kebajikan Negara under TPM, Board of Director for Volunteer Malaysia under YB Syed Saddiq, Board of Visitors Taman Seri Puteri Cheras, Court Advisor for Children at Mahkamah Jalan Duta KL, Assistant Child Protector, set up an NGO called PUAK (Persatuan Untuk Anak Kita) and Ex Patron for Transit Home for Pregnant Teenage Girls out of wedlock called Rumah Kita in Selangor and an Advisor for Rumah Bonda in KL, Advisor Cerita Orang Gagal, Volunteer Geriatric Ward Hospital Kuala Lumpur among others.
Zaim Mohzani
Zaim Mohzani is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in international strategy and diplomacy in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) under the Chevening Scholarship, awarded by the UK Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Zaim has 7 years of professional experience in innovation management, business development, and entrepreneurship. Zaim focused on promoting corporate-startup collaboration prominently through managing a national open innovation platform to connect both sides. While working a full-time role, Zaim found time to establish 3 non-profit organisations that have impacted over 5,000 youths in Malaysia. His three organisations, namely Perdana Fellows Alumni Association (PFAA), Nation Building School and Malaysian Youth Diplomacy (MyDiplomacy) have won awards for its youth empowerment initiatives. In addition, he sits on the Board of Trustees of Impact Malaysia (a government agency) and chairs the Supervisory Group for AIESEC (world’s biggest student-run organisation) in Malaysia.
Azman Karib Ibrahim
Azman Karib Ibrahim or also known as AKI is the Principal Photographer of AzmanKarib Photography. Prior to that he was in the Information Technology industry for over 30 years with several companies ranging from internationally renowned companies and local corporations.
Recently he was appointed by Sony Malaysia as their “Alpha Guru” for 2020, sharing his photography knowledge and use of Sony camera technologies with workshop participants from all over Malaysia.
