“It came to a point where I had so much in my house, that I decided to sell it for (nostalgic) people who grew up knowing these characters. I only collect old toys and my favorite piece is a battle damaged version of Chucky. Before, I used to be scared when I looked at it, but I wanted to get over that fright, and now the more fright it gives to people, the more I like it. And if I have a kid, he probably won’t be playing with these toys…probably get him some Legos.”
“I’m doing this part time now, full time I’m a technician for kitchen appliances. I hope to have my own toy shop, and my girlfriend is pretty cool about all this, she doesn’t collect, but its awesome when you have a girlfriend who understands you!”

“When I was coming to Malaysia. Nigeria is actually a great place; I come from Ilorin. The infrastructure is not great, but the people are.”
“Which person do you miss the most?”
“My older sister. Oh she is – she is amazing. They don’t make them like her anymore. She has so much strength, and so much will. She’s gone through so many tough things. She lost a baby last year; had him with her for 8 months and he passed away the day after she gave birth. She has gone through a lot, and still manages to love everyday.”

“It’s for a good cause actually. This group called ‘Running to Stop the Traffik’ is trying to raise awareness of human trafficking, and I thought I might as well help.”
“Why is human trafficking important to you?”
“People’s rights get violated. There’s a lot of violence involved in it, and as individuals being oppressed, there’s little hope for them to escape. They rely on others to find safety and justice; that’s why the whole program is important to me.”

You put all this emotional and physical effort into it, so when you finally get to that end product, there’s that relief but also that sense of accomplishment – because you manage to make an idea become reality.”

“But I was always looking at her, and when she was in her last semester, we met down at the lake and I finally asked ‘Can I have your number?'”
