“I decided to take French because the language sounds refined, sophisticated, and elegant with a wide range of vocabulary…”

When expressing oneself, one can pick so many words to express a particular feeling or emotion. And I wanted a French speaking friend with whom I could practice the language with…turns out eventually that person became my boyfriend!”

“Its a challenge being a mom and working full time…”

“I took 3 years off to be with my kids to be close to them, and that is something that I do not want to miss out especially in their early childhood. I want them to grow up knowing their mother. Those 3 years was also a good way to clear the mind off from all the work. Even my husband felt the same thing when he took a year off to do his MBA, it was a refreshing time, especially for those who have been working professionally for a long time. Did you know I was a sports person when I was younger? I know its hard to tell it from me now, but I was a really active sports person. I’ve been wanting to do sports again, now that my kids are older. The challenge is to be a good wife, mom and employee. And I’m glad that so far, I’m doing alright.”

“When I was young, my grandmother used to play songs on her gramophone and I’ve been wanting one ever since…”

Girl: “I just bought these LP records and have my own turntable (modern LP player). Its a way for me to be nostalgic about the past, and to remember my grandmother and the olden times. And there is actually a difference when you play songs on the LP- it actually sounds better”.

Guy: “I love vintage stuffs. I’m just pretentious”.

“I think its fine using mobile phones and browsing through the Internet when you’re with your members…”

I do it all the time. We do it all the time. Yes I’ve heard about people saying don’t use your phones while you are with them, but the thing is I see my colleagues every single day – in the morning, for lunch, at work, and for dinner. It has come to a point where there’s nothing else to talk about. So that’s why we flip out our phones”.
