The world’s biggest little festival is back for its 17th season! SHORT+SWEET Malaysia 2024, under the direction of Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican, will take place from 21 September to 20 October at KLPAC.
Originally launched in Australia, this festival has made waves across major cities worldwide, including Dubai and Los Angeles. Its dynamic and engaging format continues to attract diverse audiences.
This year’s exciting lineup features:
- SHORT+SWEET Film: 21-22 September
- SHORT+SWEET Stand-Up Comedy & Song: 27-29 September
- SHORT+SWEET Dance: 4-6 October
- SHORT+SWEET Musical & Theatre: 11-12 & 18-19 October
Each performance showcases new works, all under 10 minutes, highlighting an array of imaginative and entertaining pieces. Hosted by Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican and Joe Hasham OAM, the festival invites audience participation in choosing the Audience Choice Award winners.
Since its inception in 2008, SHORT+SWEET Malaysia has been a vibrant platform for new artistic talent, premiering over 1,000 works and featuring more than 5,500 performers.
