The Dugem Festival Countdown (DFC) 2025, Malaysia’s first-ever Dugem festival, is set to light up The Landing, KL Base in Bandar Malaysia, Sungei Besi, on December 31, 2024. Announced today at a press conference held at The Wolf Club in Metro Pudu Mall, the event promises to be a monumental celebration of dance, music, and unity as it counts down to the New Year.
“Dugem,” short for “Dunia Gemerlapan,” is a soulful dance music genre originating in Indonesia, thriving in clubs and now gaining popularity in Malaysia. Over the past decade, Dugem has made its mark locally, with at least 10 Dugem clubs attracting partygoers nationwide. However, this will be the first time a large-scale Dugem festival is held in Malaysia.
En. Muhammad Adnan bin Mohd Dicky, spokesperson for DFC 2025, shared the festival’s vision: “By hosting this event, we aim to unite citizens of the Nusantara region, regardless of age, ethnicity, or cultural background, in a fun and exciting dance festival.”
Organised by Mycom Entertainment, the event will feature a mix of established and rising Dugem stars. Headlining the festival are Indonesian sensations Cipydot and Icha Kharoline, two viral Dugem stars known for their high-energy performances. Supporting them are a stellar lineup of local talent, including Yonn, DJ Alyph, Jyn, Kent Wukong, DJ Ajijie, Debi Echa, Freezy Freez, Alongputra, Manz, Mirul Twin Tech, Baeby, and DJ Yahoo. Additional acts, including another international star, will be announced soon.
